Vote No on SB819 !

I’m writing as your constituent to strongly urge you to vote NO on SB 819 – and to remove your name from the bill entirely.

While some changes have recently been made to this bill, severe problems remain that threaten our property rights and energy affordability in Texas.

First, SB 819 shakes the very foundation of what makes Texas strong: private property rights, economic freedom, and energy independence. This bill expands unnecessary government regulation. And it disregards the rights of Texans to produce energy on their own land.

Second, SB 819 hurts economic development by limiting our communities’ ability—especially in rural Texas—to attract capital investment. Renewable energy projects have provided reliable long-term revenue for local schools, infrastructure, and public services without raising taxes. Blocking these opportunities punishes Texas businesses, discourages innovation, and denies Texans access to cheaper electricity.

At a time when Texas faces growing energy demands, SB 819 also jeopardizes grid reliability by halting new energy development and ultimately increasing electricity costs for all Texans.

Please stand with property owners, local businesses, and everyday Texans. Protect our property rights, economic future, and energy security by voting NO on SB 819.
