Support the MAGA Act

I’m writing to urge you to support the Maximizing American Grid Affordability (MAGA) Act.

Right now, Michigan’s energy system is failing the people it’s supposed to serve. We pay some of the highest electric rates in the country, and meanwhile have some of the worst reliability. Outages have become expected, not exceptional—and it’s hurting families, businesses, and communities across our state.

The MAGA Act is a commonsense, pro-Michigan solution. It would:

>> Lower electric bills by increasing consumer choice and competition
>> Fewer blackouts and faster repairs with private investment
>> Keep energy decisions on zoning and siting in local hands
>> Put an end to buying solar parts from China, Iran, and North Korea
>> Place a cap on total solar growth to protect our energy mix and keep the lights on
