Stop the Kratom leaf ban

As a Washington resident, I urge you to oppose this proposal.

A blanket kratom ban fails to distinguish between natural kratom leaf and dangerous synthetic opioid-like products that are often mislabeled and sold irresponsibly. Prohibition would harm responsible adults and small businesses while doing nothing to stop truly unsafe products.

I urge you to introduce smart, evidence-based regulation that protects consumers, aligns with federal guidance, and targets synthetic and adulterated products — not a ban that creates confusion and unintended harm.
