Protect Tennessee from chemical companies
Independent scientists worldwide agree about the links between certain pesticides and cancers, but multinational chemical companies are pushing House Bill 809 to make themselves immune from accountability. We must stop House Bill 809 because it gives foreign chemical corporations like ChemChina total immunity for violating federal pesticide labeling requirements.
Foreign pesticide makers who knowingly deceive the EPA and Tennessee farmers about risks to property shouldn’t get a free pass, yet House Bill 809 lets pesticide companies off the hook for lying on the label. Tennessee farmers whose crops are destroyed by deliberate deception, as has happened before, will be stripped of their property rights to hold the company accountable.
As a Tennessee constituent, I’m asking you to stand up and protect our rights against these multinational chemical companies. Please vote NO on House Bill 809 and Senate Bill 527.
