Please Reject a Blanket Kratom Ban

I am writing to urge the Orange City Council to oppose any proposal that would ban all kratom products within city limits.

A blanket ban fails to distinguish between natural kratom leaf and dangerous synthetic products that are often falsely marketed as kratom. Prohibition would eliminate regulated consumer access while doing nothing to address the real safety concerns associated with synthetic and adulterated products.

I respectfully ask the City Council to pursue smart, evidence-based regulation that protects consumers, supports transparency, and targets unsafe products — rather than adopting a ban that creates confusion and unintended consequences.
