Please preserve obesity treatment coverage for patients in Massachusetts!

Here’s letter we will send your lawmaker on your behalf: Obesity is a complex, chronic disease that affects many individuals and families across Massachusetts.

Patients and healthcare providers should have access to a range of treatment options to help manage obesity. Unfortunately, policies are being considered in Massachusetts that would eliminate obesity management medication coverage.

For some patients, obesity management medications prescribed by a healthcare provider may be an important part of a comprehensive treatment plan alongside nutrition, physical activity, and other medical care.

Unfortunately, some patients still face barriers to accessing these treatment options.

I ask you to protect obesity treatment coverage that helps improve access to medically appropriate obesity treatment options so that patients and their healthcare providers have the tools they need to address this disease.
