Oppose HF 2249 – Keep Vision Care Affordable

I am writing to ask you to oppose HF 2249, a bill that could potentially double the cost of vision care for Iowans like me.

Vision care is essential to everyday life. Iowans need to see well to do well in school, perform our jobs, and experience all that life has to offer. A lot of us need vision correction, and so far, vision care has been affordable. That will change if HF 2249 becomes law.

Rising costs are hitting us from every direction: housing, groceries, health care, and more. HF 2249 will add vision care to that list.

Simply put, this bill is too expensive for people in Iowa. Your constituents can’t afford to spend hundreds of dollars more for the same level of care, especially when our budgets are stretched thin.

I respectfully urge you to consider the real-world impact of HF 2249 on constituents like me.
