No Cuts! Make Super-Rich, Big Corporations Pay Their Share
Dear [name]:
I’m asking you to oppose cuts to hospitals, schools, and housing and support bills that make the super-rich and big corporations pay what they owe.
Washington State is worse than most other states – including Idaho – when it comes to making mega-millionaires pay what they owe. It’s time to stop being a tax haven for billionaires.
Please support these bills:
- SB 5796: Raising $2.3 billion for health care, education with a payroll tax on big corporations with large executive salaries.
- SB 5797/HB 2046 Raising $4 billion for schools with a tax on the super-rich (about 4,300 mega-millionaires) with more than $50 million in stocks and bonds.
- SB 5794: Raising $1 billion by closing tax loopholes for special interests such as gold bullion.
- HB 2045: Raising $2 billion for education, public safety and other critical services with a tax on the state’s biggest most profitable corporations with $250 million+ annual profits.
It’s up to you to do the right thing and make our state’s many mega-millionaires and billionaires pay their share, fixing our upside down tax code.
Signed,
