Give America a Break
American families like mine are struggling due to rising costs of basic needs like gas, groceries and utilities.
As it stands, 7 in 10 Americans are concerned about rising prices for everyday purchases. We can’t take much more of this.
Far too many people in your district and across the nation are living paycheck-to-paycheck and barely scraping by as a result of policies just like RPA.
It’s important that you know what is at stake.
- Reviving the RPA could result in increased prices for consumers – disproportionately impacting lower and middle-income families who rely on large chain retailers for affordable prices on everyday products.
- Reviving the RPA would be an attack on individual companies which will stifle their ability to compete – crushing the capitalistic market and significantly reducing competition.
- Reviving the RPA would hurt workers’ access to quality jobs with quality benefits. The millions of people employed by chain retailers rely on their employer for affordable income and benefits. The RPA would lead to workforce reduction, leaving these people without jobs, and the benefits that come with them.
As my Representative, I am asking you to do the right thing, and fight for policies that foster lower prices and open competition in the marketplace.
