Subject Line: Fund the CHIPS Act Now!

Dear Senator,

Relying on countries like China for our semiconductor production is putting us in a perilous situation. Everyday Americans are already feeling the impacts of the disruption to the microchip supply chain in our daily lives, and we know that the problem could get much worse if we don’t act now.

I’m grateful that Congress passed the CHIPS Act last year, but we all know that means nothing if it isn’t properly funded. This is a rare bipartisan issue. It would provide high-paying jobs and take the US from just 2 percent of global production to 15 percent.

Companies are ready to do their part, but they need those tax incentives and the assurance that the U.S. government will come through on its end of the bargain. It’s not an exaggeration to say that our future depends on it.
