Vote No On the Anti Copper World Truck Traffic Ordinance

To the Pima County Board of Supervisors,

Please vote no on the proposed ordinance that would impact truck traffic to the Copper World site. This ordinance would create a significant obstacle for a major project and could result in our region losing jobs and economic activity.

Copper World deserves to be treated fairly and equitably, as all responsible businesses do.  I support mining, and I support the Copper World project because it can bring good-paying jobs and long-term opportunities. It can also support local businesses that supply services, equipment, and materials.

If traffic is a concern, there are practical tools the County can utilize, such as designated routes, safety requirements, and clear enforcement. Those steps can address real issues without placing a heavy restriction that could block the project.

I ask you to support jobs and opportunities by voting no on this ordinance.
