Veto the RAISE Act

I am writing to you today to express my deep concern about the RAISE Act and ask you to veto this bill and protect the state’s thriving tech industry.

The RAISE Act poses significant risks to New York’s position as a leader in AI  innovation. By imposing overly broad regulations and burdensome compliance requirements, this bill would stop the growth of small startups and drive businesses out of the state. The consequences would be devastating: lost jobs, reduced economic growth, and a diminished reputation for New York as a hub for innovation.

Additionally, the RAISE Act fails to strike a balance between public protection and innovation. Rather than encouraging the development of AI, this bill would create a regulatory environment that is hostile to innovation and experimentation. This would not only harm businesses but also undermine the state’s efforts to promote economic development and job creation.

By vetoing the RAISE Act, you can protect New York’s position as a leader in AI innovation and ensure that the state remains a hub for entrepreneurship and job creation. Please protect New York innovation and say NO to the RAISE Act.
