Protect our Veterans!!!

Dear [Legislator Name],

A new state bill is being touted as a bill to protect veterans, but its focus is in the wrong place. There
are plenty of problems facing veterans – addiction, housing, mental health challenges, and a
broken VA. This bill does nothing to address the first three issues, and actually makes the
inadequate VA benefits system worse. We need an all hands on deck approach to securing
health benefits for disabled veterans. That means non-profits, government reform, legal
support and private sector expertise. Don’t buy a political argument being pushed by special
interests. Study the problem and understand that we need more support, not less! Please
stand against a bad bill and work towards legislation that truly supports our veterans.
