Protect GLP-1 Coverage for Working Californians

I’m writing to express serious concern over the proposal to eliminate GLP-1 coverage under Medi-Cal. These medications aren’t just about individual health—they’re about keeping California’s workforce strong, healthy, and productive.

When workers have access to preventive care, they take fewer sick days, manage chronic conditions more effectively, and stay on the job longer. Cutting GLP-1 access under Medi-Cal would be a step backwards—hurting our economy and increasing long-term healthcare costs.

Please don’t let working Californians lose access to the care they need. I urge you to oppose this budget cut and protect Medi-Cal coverage for anti-obesity medications.
