Please pass PBM reform so patients get the savings on their medicines, not PBMs
Dear [Legislator],
Please pass PBM reform to rein in harmful PBM practices and create meaningful changes
that help patients better afford their medicine.
Under the current system, insurers and PBMs hold immense power in controlling the cost of
medicines for customers. Together, they negotiate rebates with pharmaceutical companies to
lower drug prices, but patients aren’t seeing those discounts at the pharmacy counter. Instead
of passing rebates on to their customers, PBMs are profiting off these savings. As a result,
patients often end up paying more for their medicine than their insurer does.
Please continue to prioritize this important issue and pass meaningful reform that will rein in
this abusive practice and help patients access their life-saving treatments.
Sincerely,
