California Needs Driving Incentives

Dear Committee Member, 

 

 

Assembly woman McKinnor has been a leader on the issue of safe driving.

 

We want to support her continuing efforts to bring safe driving incentives to California. A data driven system can support a more just transportation system. There are good and bad drivers in every neighborhood and some neighborhoods receive more police attention. Safe driver incentives give individuals the option to be judged based on their actual driving behavior.

 

This data will give policy makers another tool to help fight bias in the current system.  We are confident that ACR 52 will allow California will pursue safe driving incentives in a way that creates safer roadways while protecting personal privacy.
