I write today to urge your support of robust investment in Amtrak and intercity passenger rail. I believe all communities deserve the accessibility, mobility, and environmental benefits that high-quality train service can provide. If Congress invests more in passenger rail, communities across the nation, including key city pairs, will be better connected. More passenger rail will help reduce our carbon footprint and can be a catalyst for economic development and prosperity across America. I support a national investment in passenger rail to connect my community, and I ask you to do the same.
