Yes on AB 1776
Dear <Senator>
The rising cost of living in California is crushing families like mine. Lawmakers promised to focus
on affordability and now is your chance: to protect families from the corporate monopolies hiking
prices on us — vote YES on AB 1776.
The soaring cost of groceries and healthcare are just two examples of how consumers are
paying for a lack of competition where giant corporations have the power to raise prices, limit
choices, and hold down wages.
Right now, it can be illegal for two companies to work together to dominate a market and gouge
consumers, but a single dominant company can do the same harm without clear accountability.
AB 1776 is simple. It closes that loophole so the same harm comes with the same rules.
The COMPETE Act wouldn’t punish businesses for their success. It would make sure the rules
are fair — for consumers, for workers, and for the small businesses that are the backbone of our
local communities.
I urge you to stand with California families and vote YES on AB 1776.
