Hoosier Workers Deserve Access to Care

I’m a working Hoosier, and I’m asking you to expand Indiana Medicaid to cover obesity management medications.

People like me work hard every day — on the job site, on the floor, behind the wheel — and we count on Medicaid to be there when we need it. Obesity is a serious chronic disease, not a matter of willpower, and treatment prescribed by a doctor should be available to us just like it is to people with private insurance.

Right now, Indiana Medicaid doesn’t cover these medications. That means workers and families who need this care the most are the ones being left out.

Please expand Medicaid coverage for obesity management medications so working Hoosiers have the same shot at good health as everyone else.
