Conserve the Landers property

I  urge you to use the Town’s Right of First Refusal to conserve the Landers property in Cedarville or assign it to the Community Land & Water Coalition (CLWC).

This is one of the last undeveloped parts of the Herring Pond Wampanoag Tribe’s “Great Lot” in Plymouth. This is a historic opportunity to acknowledge Native American culture and history and make it a vibrant part of Plymouth’s conservation tradition.

Conservation of these parcels also benefits wildlife habitat, open space, safeguards water resources, and maintains the rural character that makes Cedarville unique.

For years, Plymouth’s taxpayers have made a significant investment in keeping this land undeveloped while it was in Chapter 61 by foregoing the tax revenues.

Please act now to protect the Landers property and preserve this important land.
