Lawmaker Pingree’s Amendment is disappointing

Dear [LEGISLATOR],

I’ve been talking to my friends about the Farm Bill and I’m writing to express my disappointment that you voted for Congresswoman Pingree’s amendment. Farmers are struggling and the amendment she proposed would have stripped Section 10205 from the bill, which is language that protects farmers’ access to proven-safe crop protection tools that we need right now. There has never been more uncertainty for farmers, and we need all the support we can get from our elected legislators. I am extremely disappointed that you chose to stand with Pingree and not with farmers.
