Please support LB767 and protect veteran choice

Lawmaker Letter: 

I’m a veteran and constituent and I’m asking you to support LB767.

I respect our county VSOs a lot, but the reality is they’re swamped. When I was trying to get my paperwork together, the earliest appointment I could get was weeks out, and I was already drowning in forms and deadlines. Paid help is not “taking advantage” of veterans. For a lot of us, it’s the only way to move forward when the system is backed up.

LB767 gets the balance right. It keeps paid assistance on the table, but requires clear written terms, honest disclosures, reasonable fee rules, and safeguards for veterans’ personal data. It also makes sure vets are told about free options too, so people can choose what fits their situation.
