Support Veterans’ Right to Choose Professional Claims Assistance

As a proud veteran advocate and your constituent, I am writing to urge your support for policies that allow veterans the freedom to work with professional VA claims consultants when preparing to file disability claims. Navigating the VA benefits system is often overwhelming and confusing, and while Veterans Service Organizations do important work, they are frequently overburdened and unable to provide the individualized attention many veterans need. Allowing access to professional claims consultants gives vets more options and ensures they have the best possible chance at receiving the benefits they have earned through their service.

Restricting veterans’ choices only makes the process harder for those who have already sacrificed so much for our country. I believe that promoting competition and empowering veterans to seek the help that works best for them is a commonsense, pro-veteran approach. Please stand with veterans by opposing any legislation that limits our right to choose professional assistance, and instead support reforms that put veterans’ needs first.
