Let’s Not Pay More For Electricity

Dear Rep./Sen.

I am writing to express my opposition to the Right of First Refusal (ROFR) legislation, specifically in H.B. 3445. If this bill becomes law, Illinois families like mine could face big increases in electricity prices.

ROFR would ban competition, which would undoubtedly result in higher electricity bills for consumers like me.

I urge you to vote against ROFR in H.B. 3445 and uphold the governor’s veto. We, as consumers, should not have to bear the burden of paying more for electricity. Please stand up for the people of Illinois and protect us from rising energy costs.
