Oppose Net Energy billing Repeals Bill

I’m writing as your constituent to urge you to oppose LD 1936 , which would block the development of community solar in Maine and remove access to savings from projects that are already operating here in Maine.

Community solar is a lifeline for families like mine who want access to lower energy costs without installing solar panels on our homes. It gives renters, homeowners, and small businesses the freedom to choose clean energy while strengthening our power grid.

If this bill passes, it will take away a proven solution that helps Mainers save money and reduces our dependence on expensive, outdated energy sources. Instead of shutting down community solar, we should be expanding it to benefit more people. Especially those most impacted by rising energy costs.

Please stand with Mainers who want energy choice, lower costs, and a stronger local economy. Vote NO on LD 1936.
